Writer/producer Frank Spotnitz speaks about his future plan of “The X-Files” movie series, hinting that he will bring back the aliens and making it to be the last of the series. If another “The X-Files” movie was to be made, it will most likely see the return of the aliens to the sci-fi film. Talking to MovieWeb in the promotional effort for “The X-Files: I Want to Believe” DVD version, writer/producer Frank Spotnitz states, “Yeah. I mean, if we were to make one more feature, I think we would definitely have to deal with alien colonization.” He also hints that the third movie may be the last of the series. “I would think so,” he notes when asked whether “The X-Files 3″ would be the final closure film. “It certainly would be designed to be the period on the sentence.” Meanwhile, on the possible date the movie will come out, Spotnitz suggests late 2012 to be one of the potential release dates. “There’s a date that looms very important in X-Files mythology, which is December 2012. I think after the DVD comes out, the studio will decide whether they want to roll the dice on another X-Files feature,” so he claimed. The complete interview with Spotnitz can be read at MovieWeb. Opened in theaters on July 25, “The X-Files: I Want to Believe” debuted fourth at the North American box office behind “The Dark Knight” and “Step Brothers”. The movie that teams up once again David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson has so far collected $66.3 million worldwide. It will come out on DVD and Blu-ray on December 2. Source: Aceshowbiz Nov

“On October 19, an article about actor David Duchovny may have suggested he had an amorous relationship with a tennis coach, Edit Pakay. We now accept this is inaccurate and Ms. Pakay and Mr. Duchovny are only friends who used to play tennis occasionally. Their relationship went no further and was not a factor in Mr and Mrs Duchovny’s separation. We apologize to Ms. Pakay, Mr. Duchovny and to Mr. Duchovny’s family.” Source: Mail Online Nov

I’ve started capping I Want to Believe and I came up with 710 DVD screencaptures! The focus is on David this time. I’ll make Gillian-focused screencaptures in the near future. If you haven’t seen the film yet, I advise you against viewing the screencaptures because they can be spoilerish! GALLERY LINKS: - The X-Files: I Want to Believe (2008): DVD Screencaptures (DD) Nov

David Duchovny and Téa Leoni have sparked rumours of a reconciliation after they were spotted hand-in-hand at the weekend. Last month, the couple of 11 years announced they separated over the summer prior to the X-Files star entering treatment for sex addiction - but a source in New York spotted them together at the weekend. The source told the New York Post that the pair were trick-or-treating with their children Madelaine and Kyd around the Upper East Side on Friday night: “They were very cute and were holding hands. “[They] looked very mellow and relaxed [together].” A source close to the couple added: “The end of long term relationships are rarely clean cut, especially when kids are involved. “David and Téa are working through things. They probably won’t get back together but there is still a lot of love there.” Nov

An attorney for actor David Duchovny has released a statement denouncing reports the Californication star was involved in an affair with a tennis instructor. Following a report in Britain’s The Daily Mail, which claimed Duchovny had an affair with a woman named Edit Pakay, attorney Stanton “Larry” Stein issued a statement refuting the alleged romantic relationship, claiming that “the article contains false and defamatory information.” “I met with Edit Pakay on Friday, October 17, 2008, at which time she confirmed that she considered David Duchovny a friend. She told me that they never had a romantic or sexual relationship,” Stein said in the statement released to Access Hollywood. Stein claims that upon seeing the story in The Daily Mail written by Caroline Graham on October 19, Pakay wrote a “completely unsolicited” e-mail to Stein saying she wanted to “go on record” that she never had a sexual relationship with Duchovny.
